Sneak peek! Check out the profile of this beautiful bombshell.

Have you ever wondered why so many women fall in love with their profile shot after being photographed? It’s one of the few angles you are not able to see of yourself in the mirror, so it’s like seeing a whole new side of you that you KNEW existed, but didn’t realize just how beautiful it really is.

Stay tuned for more photos of this lovely bombshell!

Nashville pinup photography – “Shoo fly pie & apple pan dowdy” edition, post 3 of 3

You may remember this beautiful bombshell from a few of our past recent posts. Her boudoir session was SO fun, yet so simple. She’s been a country girl, a retro swimsuit pinup and today she’s cookin’ up something delicious in our downtown Nashville studio with her adorable bing cherry apron and red high heels. We just loved her playful expressions and think this is a perfect example of how every day items can be sexy and add a unique touch to your boudoir session. And by the way, if you’re not familiar with the song “Shoo Fly Pie & Apple Pan Dowdy,” you’re missing out terribly. Go listen!

Nashville pinup photography – “Get along little dogies” edition, post 2 of 3

Did you catch this bombshell last week? She looked absolutely stunning with her black retro swimsuit and gorgeously detailed high heel platforms. Today she is back again, only she’s country style! No, she didn’t sing us any country songs throughout this shoot, but she’s certainly breaking some hearts with those short shorts and cowgirl boots! We just had a blast working with this Nashville gal and hope you enjoy her photos! One more wardrobe change left…who will she be next? 🙂

We think this is true pinup photography at it’s finest. Perhaps we’re a bit partial. 🙂 Meet bombshell C. This gal had three distinct looks she wanted to create and today we’re going to share the first with you. We just adore her lovely, ladylike tattoos, the accessories she chose and those shoes…yowzer!

Isn’t she fabulous? And this is just the beginning! Stay tuned for this bombshell’s other 2 wardrobe changes! Coming soon!

Bombshell tip: Wear something meaningful

Every woman is a bombshell. Whether she’s wearing a little black dress, cute shorts with a glittery tank top…or a little less. 🙂 Today’s bombshell came to us because she wanted to be photographed in these beautifully hand-crafted dresses that were created with love and are extremely important to her heritage. Enjoy meeting Bombshell V.!

Isn’t she stunning? Thanks so much for choosing to work with us, V.! We loved your beautiful dresses and encourage every bombshell to include a meaningful piece of jewelry or special wardrobe component. See you again soon!

Warmly,

Ashley & The Bombshell Gals

Reflecting on a lost star…

Our world lost an incredible star this past week. Whitney Houston’s unmistakable voice earned her more than 400 awards throughout her lifetime. Today’s post, however, is all about her glittering, show-stopping style. Houston knew how to command the stage and knew how to wow a crowd – both definite bombshell-worthy traits. What was your favorite Whitney look?

We’re inspired by Nike’s mission statement

I recently had the pleasure of hearing Guy Kawasaki speak at Belmont University. If you don’t know who he is, you should. 🙂 He worked for Apple for several years, has written 10 books and is a co-founder of Alltop.com, an “online magazine rack” of popular topics on the web.

During his presentation, he shared Nike’s mission statement and I HAD to share it with you:

How powerful is this?! This is what we preach in our studio and I hope you never forget you are SO much more than a number or series of numbers.

Beauty = not perfect

I get a variety of responses when I tell people I run a boudoir photography business. These reactions range from…

“Wow, that’s really fabulous! Tell me more!”

to

“Are you serious? Why would you want to do that?” (And then this person usually looks at me, concerned, as if it’s too risque to be talking about.)

Since Bombshell Creative was launched in 2009, I’ve had to develop a strong vision for this company.  My goal with Bombshell Creative is to empower women to embrace their femininity, love who they are inside and out and, ultimately, educate the world so we can change the perception of boudoir photography.

Many women tell me they could never “do something like this”. That they’re overweight, too old, too much of this and not enough of that. And to me, that’s simply absurd. We’ve been brainwashed to believe that beauty is a certain hair color, bra size, weight, height, age, style, etc. It’s just not true. Beauty is all around us and every woman is beautiful. And that’s my mission. To make every woman see how beautiful she truly is.

To get me closer to this mission, I’ve developed the “I am beautiful” campaign. I’ll have more details to share soon. Be on the lookout for the Bombshell Creative team…that’s all I can say for now. 🙂

So the lesson for today is to LOVE who you are. Beauty is not perfect…although the world tries to tell us otherwise. Every unique aspect of your personality, your background, style and so on, is what makes you who you are…and that is beautiful.
